The Gemological Institute of Genoa offers the first free basic Gemology course online to all lovers of Precious Gems and Diamonds.
The online Gemology course is presented with wonderful contents and rich in spectacular images of Gems, filmed directly from the microscope.
You will be able to see the most beautiful and rarest Gems in the world thanks to the high definition of a camera mounted on a professional microscope. You will be able to comfortably observe Gems from home at up to 64 magnifications.
After clicking on the big red button above, the YouTube screen will open. Then, you can subscribe to the Precious Stones channel by clicking on the red YouTube button, as indicated by the red arrow below.

The contest to win a real Diamond
Subscribing for free to the first online Gemology course also allows you to participate in the first Gemological contest in history. The best at answering the contest questions will win a half-carat Diamond! The award ceremony will be held live on YouTube on our Gemological Institute of Genoa channel.
You will find the contest by clicking on the playlist titled “Gemology Contest Win a Diamond”. In the text of each video there are the names of four Gems. Only one of them is really the Gem filmed in the video. You will have to discover which of the four names corresponds to the right Gem. Below each video you will find the comments section, in which you can write the answer to the question, that is, the name of the Gem you are observing through our microscope.
